Southville Students Lead at AFSL Convention

Southville Global Education Network (SGEN) schools and other institutions across Metro Manila proudly participated in the Asian Federation of Student Leaders (AFSL) Convention held at Southville International School and Colleges (SISC). This prestigious gathering united young leaders from various schools, equipping them with the skills and inspiration to become catalysts for transformational change.

A delegation of 60 high school student leaders from SISC took part in the event, actively engaging in leadership workshops, collaborative discussions, and networking opportunities with fellow student leaders.

One of the key highlights of the convention was the Project Proposal Presentation, where students showcased their innovative solutions to real-world challenges. Southville’s delegation stood out, earning the award for Best Project Proposal, a testament to their creativity, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to meaningful change. This proposal was in collaboration with Kim Minyoung, Kim Kimoon, Don Enrique Padilla, Julia Allison Barretto, Ryan Pedroza, Joshua Levi Santos, Juan Alfonso Lobien, and Shin Hyeyeon.

The convention also featured an election for AFSL officers, where River Jalen Barriga, a Grade 11 student from the HUMSS strand, was elected President of AFSL. This remarkable achievement highlights Southville’s commitment to nurturing young leaders who will shape the future.

Congratulations to our Monarchs for their outstanding contributions and leadership! Your dedication continues to inspire the Southville community.
